 The Shireys, native South Carolinians, reside in Hendersonville, TN, where they have expanded the ministry nationally. They have exposure from National Trade Magazines, such as the Singing News, Christian Voice Magazine, Solid Gospel News and national radio airplay on Solid Gospel 105, out of Nashville, TN, that has 88 syndicated stations across the nation. This family combines talent, sincerety, songwriting accomplishments, and most importantly, anointing to create a memorable concert experience. The Shireys consist of family members, Wayne, Darlene, and their two daughters, Victoria and Rachael. Darlene, Victoria, and Rachael write most of their material, performed live in concert, while Victoria is receiving notable credits for her songwriting acheivements across the nation, which includes receiving Runner-up position in the 2009 Singing News National Songwriters Search for a song pinned, entitiled, "I'm Free". National publications have recognized her songwriting throughout radio with songs such as, "Have Faith" and "Greatly To Be Praised". Darlene's writings include national airplay with a song she wrote, entitled, "I Sing Praises". There are still great songs to come from this talented family. Wayne and Darlene, both, carry on Gospel music from their roots, where their families were singers, ministers, and musicians in their local area throughout their childhood. There's no better harmony than family harmony, and you will be blessed and amazed at this family's vocal blend. The desire to minister is evident in every venue The Shireys are involved in, whether it be a church service or concert setting. They are always the same in all performances, creating Southern Gospel sounds, mixed with Bluegrass Gospel, and Darlene's favorite, "Campmeeting" style. They truly present something for everyone, young and old. After a two year relationship with Paradigm Music Group, out of Panama City, FL, they have now signed a three year contract with Bill Traylor and Mansion Records, out of Branson, MO, where their new project has just been released. Victoria penned five songs on the project, while Darlene penned one of the songs that features Wayne, entiltled, "There Is Jesus", and Rachael wrote a brand new song for the project called, "Unconditional Love". There's great variety on this project, sure to be accepted and enjoyed by all who listen to it. The Shireys are excited to be in ministry together as a family, and God's timing is perfect. From local ministry (mostly Southeastern) to national travels full-time, God lead The Shireys from a 30 year furniture business, in which Wayne and Darlene shared, to ministering the Gospel wherever the doors open. Some of those places include, Tennessee, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, etc, and of course, back to South Carolina. They are humbled at what God is doing in their lives and in the lives of others, as they obey their calling. Watch and listen! You will be hearing a whole lot more from The Shireys.
